Michel Teló (Medianeira, January 21, 1981) is a Brazilian singer and composer.[1][2] Teló was part of two music groups but it was in the band "Grupo Tradição" that his career as a singer took off. The group's biggest hits, were "Goodbye", "The Cauldron", "Forever My Life", "The Brazilian", and "I Want You". In addition to being a singer-songwriter he is also a dancer and plays the accordion, harmonica and guitar[3].

Although he was born in the state of Paraná, Teló lives in Campo Grande, Mato Grosso do Sul. From his early years, Teló has dedicated his life to music. His artistic carreer began in 1987 when, as a eight-year-old, he made his first solo performance in his school choir, singing "My dear, old man, my friend", a piece by Roberto Carlos and Erasmo Carlos. The performance was in the midst of a celebration to fathers that was being held at the school. At the age of 12, Teló joined the band "Group Guri". He became the lead singer. Besides his love for the harmonica, Michel took piano lessons for five years.

Polish football player Adrian Mierzejewski danced to this song when Pawel Brozek scored goal during the friendly match between Poland and Hungary on November 15th 2011.In German Bundesliga Marco Reus performed it with his teammates after each of his three goals for Borussia Mönchengladbach against Werder Bremen on November 19th 2011 when Gladbach outclassed Bremen winning 5-0. Lewis Holtby celebrated his goal in Schalke 04's 4-0 win against Nuremberg with the dance on the same day. Alexandre Pato, Kevin-Prince Boateng, and Robinho were also seen dancing to this at a training session on November 16, 2011. Most recently Lucas Leiva, Maxi Rodriguez and Sebastián Coates of Liverpool F.C. danced to this song when Rodriguez scored the first goal against Chelsea on November 28, 2011.On the same day, Alexandre Pato, Thiago Silva and Robinho were recorded dancing to the song on a train journey with the AC Milan squad.[4] On December 10, 2011, Marcos Antônio Malachias Júnior and Ricardo Laborde of Anorthosis Famagusta FC danced this song after Marquinhos scored the first goal against Apollon Limassol in Anorthosis's 2-0 victory. On 16 december 2011 in Turkish Super League match of Orduspor - Galatasaray players of Galatasaray, Felipe Melo and Kazim Kazim danced the song. Another example is Cerro Porteño's player Edgar Benitez.
